i was brought into the world at the most opportune time

Posted on Nov 4th, 2008 by Mandy

I was fortunate enough that my 18th birthday was 2 weeks ago, just in time to vote in the most controversial election in American history.
I am so very grateful for this opportunity.
This morning I cast my vote for Barack Obama.
I have received more than my fair share of persecution for my beliefs.
Most everyone I am in constant contact with is for McCain.
Nevertheless, this makes me feel all the more blessed to live in a country where I can exercise my beliefs, despite disagreement with the majority...

The Garden Club

Posted on Oct 12th, 2008 by Mandy
Yesterday there was a celebration for the ground breaking of the garden on BSC's campus! The students and faculty are spreading awarness about the contaminated food problems and poor air quality in our city by planting their own vegetables. The entire campus is also eco-friendly with recycling bins everywhere! It's so joyous to see more and more young people banning together for the interests of the future world!!! The celebration consisted of 6 plots representing various clubs and organizations throughout the campus beinng planted. They served non-processed foods and even had a band playing to draw people in. Best of luck Garden Club!!!

Purpose: My purpose is to change the world with my writing and to inspire others to tap into their creative spirit and set it free!!!

I love: To write and help people. I plan to become an English professor and open the windows of the world for my students. I am also going to write books that will inspire people to live up to their fullest potential. After that I will found a charitable organization that spreads awarness about the environment and the importance of education.

My ideal job description:     To be a literature professor and teaching classes outdoors while explaining to my class how nature is used in various symbolic meanings throughout literature. I would write my books and poetry in my spare time and participate in environmental projects.
